The Service is provided solely for informational and educational purposes. Nothing provided through the Service constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice. The Service does not provide personalized investment advice, investment recommendations, or advice tailored to any user's financial circumstances, objectives, or risk tolerance. Your use of the Service does not create an adviser-client, broker-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
The Service aggregates, processes, and displays information derived from publicly available filings made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The information presented through the Service may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or no longer reflect a filer's current positions. Form 13F filings generally disclose only certain long positions in qualifying securities and do not provide a complete picture of a filer's investment activities. Smart13F does not independently verify the accuracy of source filings and is not responsible for errors, omissions, amendments, delays, or inaccuracies originating from the SEC, reporting entities, third-party providers, or data-processing systems.
The Service does not provide any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information presented. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Smart13F and its operators disclaim all warranties, express or implied. The Service may not be accurate, complete, reliable, timely, or secure.
Smart13F and its operators are not liable for any damages, including indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Users are responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of using the Service. Users agree that any reliance on the Service is at their own risk.
To create an account, users must provide an email address and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form and are not retained in plaintext. Account information is processed for the purpose of providing, maintaining, securing, and improving the Service. To help us understand where our users are located and to support account security, we store the country derived from your IP address at sign-up and at each login; we do not retain the IP address itself. Additional details regarding data practices are set forth in the Privacy Policy.
The Service may be terminated or modified at any time without notice. Smart13F reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to the Service at any time without prior notice. The Service may be updated, and these Terms of Use may be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction specified by the operator. By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. The Service does not provide financial or investment advice.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Smart13F ("the Service", "we") collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. The Service displays information derived from public filings made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; this policy concerns the personal data of Service users, not the public-filing data itself.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form using a salted one-way hash; we never store or have access to your plaintext password.
To understand where our users are located and to help secure accounts, we derive and store the country associated with your IP address at sign-up and at each login. We do not store the IP address itself — only the resulting two-letter country code.
We store basic account metadata such as your account creation date, the date you accepted these terms, and your most recent login date.
If you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). We do not collect or store your card details; those are handled directly by the payment provider. We receive confirmation of your subscription status in order to enable paid features on your account.
We use your information to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service: to authenticate you, to provide the features associated with your tier, to communicate account-related messages (such as password resets), to understand our user base in aggregate, and to detect and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.
We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. It is set with HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite attributes, and is transmitted only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Service, including our hosting provider, our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy), and, if enabled, an email-delivery provider used to send transactional messages such as password resets. These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us.
We retain your account information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data (including your email and stored country) is erased or anonymized, and your active sessions are revoked. We may retain limited non-identifying records (such as the fact and date that an account was deleted) as needed for our legitimate operational and legal purposes.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, including the rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time from within the Service. For other requests, contact us at the email below.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashed password storage, encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and minimizing the personal data we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
